The current ANCHOR benefit year was the largest property tax relief program in New Jersey history, Gov. Phil Murphy and the state Treasury Department said Monday.
More than $2.1 billion was sent to more than 1.8 million residents for the 2020 benefit year, the state said.
“As the most ambitious property tax relief program in New Jersey history, ANCHOR is helping to make New Jersey more affordable for nearly two million households who need and deserve this relief,” Murphy said in a statement.
