Did you buy Beyond Meat products? You could get cash back from a settlement.

If you bought Beyond Meat products over a six-year period, you could get cash back from a $7.5 million class action settlement.

The settlement resolves a series of class action lawsuits filed against Beyond Meat, claiming labels and marketing materials overstated the protein content and quality of products, the settlement website said.

Beyond Meat did not respond to requests for comment, but the company “denies all allegations and settled the Action to avoid further litigation,” the settlement website said.

People who purchased the products for household use from May 31, 2018 through Aug. 14, 2024 are included in the settlement, the website said.

The products include Beyond Meat Sausage Plant-Based Dinner Links, Beyond Meat Beef Plant-Based Patties, Beyond Meat Beef Plant-Based Ground Beef, Beyond Meat Breakfast Sausage Links, Beyond Meat Breakfast Sausage Patties, Beyond Meat Chicken Plant-Based Breaded Tenders and Beyond Meat Meatballs Italian Style Plant-Based Meatballs, the website said.

How much consumers will receive depends on whether they have proofs of purchase and how many qualifying products were purchased.

Each person who submits a valid claim with proof of purchase will get a cash payment of $2 for each Beyond Meat Product purchased between May 31, 2018 and Aug. 14, 2024, without limitation, the website said. Those who cannot provide proofs of purchase will be subject to a cap of five product claims, or a $10 maximum payment.

“If all Claims exceed the total amount of funds available in the Net Settlement Fund, Cash Payments will be reduced on a pro rata basis so that all Claims equal the total funds available,” the website said, noting that if there is money left over, each person with a valid claim could get an additional payment.

The deadline to file a claim at the settlement website is April 14, 2025.
