Forever 21, which has been in the news for closing stores and considering filing for bankruptcy, has another problem on its hands with a recall of one of its products.
The company is recalling children’s pajama pants because the items have the potential to cause a burn hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The 24,700 pajama pants included in this recall “violate the flammability regulations for children’s sleepwear,” and cause a burn risk to the children who wear them, the CPSC noted.
Of the pajama pants involved in the recall, there are 20 different styles. They came in children’s sizes 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14,
There are eight pant styles, three short styles and nine two-piece pajama set styles, and all were exclusively sold at Forever 21 stores nationwide from November 2023 to November 2024.
You can find the full list of pajama styles here.
Customers who purchased the pajamas are urged not to let their children wear them and contact Forever 21 to receive a full refund.
The CPSC is instructing customers to destroy the pajamas by cutting the tops and bottoms in half, and then send a picture of the destroyed pajamas to recall@forever21.com.
For more information about the Forever 21 recall, customers can call 888-219-4074 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST Monday through Sunday, or email recall@forever21.com.
