The stunning indictment last year against one of the most powerful political figures in New Jersey was thrown out of court Wednesday in an equally startling decision by a judge who found no crime had been committed.
The New Jersey Attorney General’s office, which brought the case against George E. Norcross III, a feared South Jersey Democratic powerbroker whose influence stretched across the state, immediately said it would appeal.
