Some New Jersey towns saw homes sell in record time, according to the latest Realtor.com figures.
A little over a fourth of the 252 New Jersey ZIP codes Realtor.com analyzed had homes that sold within a median of a month in January.
One New Jersey ZIP code, in Port Republic, in Atlantic County, had homes that sold within a median of a day. Homes in Shiloh, in Cumberland County, took a median of 238 to sell.
Statewide, homes stayed on the market for a median of 58 days.
According to a recent Redfin report, potential homebuyers are holding off on purchasing a home due to high home values.
In the report, Joe Paolazzi, a Redfin agent based in Pittsburgh, said, “Homeowners have been holding off, waiting for mortgage rates to go down or market conditions to improve.”
A note about the data: ZIP codes with a quality flag were omitted.
