Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, who’s served for nearly a decade as the chief executive of New Jersey’s second largest city, officially launched his campaign for governor Tuesday morning with a video that highlights his military service after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In an announcement released Tuesday morning, Fulop, a Democrat, said that he plans to bring “the same energy and fight” from his career in Jersey City to Trenton.
