Jersey City officials close grocery store tied to drug sales, prosecutor says

Jersey City officials shut down a small grocery store in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Drive following a drug investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.

The prosecutor’s office started an investigation after getting reports that drugs were being sold from the storefront. Investigators searched the business on Feb. 5 and had arrest warrants for five people.

Investigators arrested three suspects during the warrant execution, and two more later in the month.
