New details have emerged surrounding the death of Bob Bryar, ex-drummer for New Jersey rock icons My Chemical Romance.
Bryar, 44, was found dead at his Tennessee home in November. New details reveal he was discovered with three large canisters of nitrous oxide next to his body, according to an autopsy report obtained by TMZ.
The Bedford County Medical Examiner said the nitrous oxide containers had attached tubing indicating that they were prepared to be used. Antidepressant medication was also present at the home.
The examiner pointed to the possibility of an intentional or accidental overdose but said the official cause of death was “best classified as undetermined” because Bryar’s body was badly decomposed upon being found, according to TMZ.
An autopsy described the former drummer’s body to have suffered “animal scavenging activity.” Two dogs were found in Bryar’s home.
Bryar, a Chicago native, joined My Chemical Romance in 2004 as a replacement for original drummer Matt Pelissier and was with the band until 2010.
