Newark Mayor Ras Baraka gave a rousing speech Monday, exciting a crowd at a Black History Month event in Trenton and discussing his own political ambitions, according to videos posted on social media.

“I love Black History Month,” Baraka, the three-term mayor of New Jersey’s largest city, told the audience at the Patriots Theater at the War Memorial.
