A 60-year-old Middlesex County man walked into a police station Friday and confessed to killing his wife, authorities said.

Ashraf Tawfik, of East Brunswick, came to local police headquarters about 12:15 p.m. and reported that “he killed his wife,” the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

East Brunswick police went to Tawfik’s Yorktown Road home, where they found Marsail Botros, 58, unresponsive. She was declared dead at the scene.
