The latest forecast for New Jersey on Wednesday includes isolated thunderstorms with up to 50 mph wind gusts and 1 inch of rain, forecasters say,
Precipitation should move in from west to east during the early afternoon and drop a half-inch to an inch of much-needed rain on most of New Jersey before moving off the coast overnight.

Forecasters are also concerned about damaging winds gusts ranging from 25 to 30 mph in northwestern areas and 45 to 50 mph along the Jersey Shore and South Jersey.
Isolated thunderstorms are also possible on Wednesday, when high temperatures will be in the mid- to upper 50s, the National Weather Service said. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out entirely.

The Storm Prediction Center says there’s a marginal risk (the lowest of five risk levels) of severe thunderstorms developing across most of the Garden State on Wednesday, except for extreme northern New Jersey. The severe thunderstorm risk is considered slight (one level higher than marginal) for a small portion of southwestern New Jersey along with parts of southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware.Storm Prediction Center
Tuesday will also be a mild day, with highs in the mid-50s along with wind gusts of 15 mph to 20 mph. Skies start off sunny but clouds will increase through the day, forecasters say.
Overnight lows will drop only into the 40s.
After the rain moves out, we’ll have at least a couple more days of dry weather, though it will be windy on Thursday.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds with gusts of up to 40 mph. Highs will be in the low to mid-50s.
Winds finally diminish on Friday, with forecasters calling for sun and highs ranging from the upper 40s to low 50s.
Saturday should be the warmer of the two weekend days, with highs around 50 degrees. On Sunday, temperatures are only expected to reach the low 40s.
Dry conditions are likely, though forecasters say there is a slight chance of rain both days.
