Attempts to rescue an injured fox in Gloucester County were unsuccessful Monday, and police are now asking for the public’s help to find the animal so it can receive needed care.

Bingo the Fox has been seen around the Washington Township Police Station and the local senior center, according to a Facebook post from the police department.

Bing has a piece of flexible plastic vent that has been stuck around her neck, with one leg trapped in it since September 2024, authorities said.

She is also suffering from mange and may be pregnant, and this has police concerned for her safety, the department said.

Mangy Fox Rescue, a local non-profit organization, has been helping foxes afflicted with mange in South Jersey, has been aiding police in trying to catch Bingo.

The group and police urged locals to not feed Bingo, because that will make it more difficult to trap her.

“She continually visits our traps but is not desperate enough to go in yet for the food,” the group said on their Facebook page.

The group is also urging residents not to leave food outside their homes for feral cats.

Anyone who sees Bingo is asked to text her location to 609-491-3511.
