The massive three spans of the new Portal North Bridge have been lifted in place and are expected to be ready for trains next year, officials said Wednesday.
“We believe the first set of tracks will be open by the middle of 2026,” NJ Transit CEO Kris Kolluri said during a tour of the worksite on the banks of the Hackensack River Wednesday.
