Ted Sherman is an investigative and enterprise reporter for NJ Advance Media whose work appears in The Star-Ledger and NJ.com. He has spent his career in New Jersey covering stories that have taken him from the statehouse in Trenton to the federal courthouse in Newark to the Caribbean, where he tracked down a key player in a massive mortgage fraud operation who had fled to St. Lucia. He is co-author of “The Jersey Sting” published by St. Martin’s Press, an inside account at the biggest undercover corruption sting in New Jersey history involving dozens of elected officials and political operatives on the take, money-laundering rabbis and a guy selling black market kidneys. A series examining the hidden costs of big-time college sports won the National Journalism Award for Distinguished Service to the First Amendment from the Scripps Howard Foundation.
