Annie Lane

Annie Lane has offered witty, common-sense solutions to everyday problems in her column, “Dear Annie” since July 2016. She grew up in California and graduated with honors from New York University, where she majored in English literature and specialized in psychology. She earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School. Lane worked at a law firm for two years. She’s also held a variety of jobs, including working at Barnes & Noble, guided by her love of books. She’s also a certified yoga instructor and has worked in sales for an internet advertising startup company. Lane offers perceptive advice, while being firm, funny and sympathetic. These qualities echo those of her biggest inspiration — Ann Landers. Lane lives in the Manhattan suburbs with her husband and children.
