The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $248 million with a cash option of $113.4 million.
The winning numbers were: 28, 48, 55, 60 and 62. The Powerball drawn was 20 with a Power Play of 2X.
While no one across the country hit Monday’s $233 million jackpot, a second-prize, $1 million ticket was sold in Florida.
A $50,000 ticket was purchased for Monday’s drawing at Kenvil Liquor Wine & Food Store on Route 46 in the Kevil section of Roxbury, lottery officials said.
The third-prize ticket matched four numbers plus the Powerball.
Monday’s winning numbers were: 10, 11, 34, 59 and 68. The Powerball drawn was 14 with a Power Play of 3X.
In addition, no one hit Monday’s secondary, $10 million drawing.
Those winning numbers were: 22, 48, 61, 63 and 66. The Double Play number drawn was: 17.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers but not the Powerball and win at least $1 million. The odds of winning a third prize of at least $50,000 are 913,129 to 1.
Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $197 million with a cash option of $91.9 million.
