If you had insurance with Progressive, you may be eligible to sign up for a class action settlement involving as many as 350,000 people.
The settlement resolves allegations that Progressive did not properly protect consumer data from May 2021 to May 2023.
The deadline to file a claim is Feb. 18 at progressivesecuritysettlement.com.
According to the settlement website, consumer names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, email addresses and phone numbers may have been exposed to unauthorized individuals. It also alleged that financial account numbers, routing numbers, financial institution names, and credit and debit card numbers and expiration dates also have been exposed.
To settle the claims, Progressive agreed to create a $3.25 million fund for affected consumers. It did not admit any wrongdoing as part of the settlement, and it did not respond to requests for comment.

The amount you would receive without documentation depends on how many people file claims, the settlement website said.
