Roughly two weeks after Kanye West or ‘Ye’ posted a litany of ramblings during Super Bowl weekend declaring he was a Nazi, sticking up for Sean “Diddy” Combs, and his admiration for Adolph Hitler, the rapper is suddenly backtracking his stance.

In a post shared from his X account on Wednesday, Ye stated, “After further reflection, I’ve realized that I’m not a Nazi.” There was no further context given to this revelation.

This sudden change of heart comes on the heels of a recent pattern of antisemitic behavior from West over the past month.

The rapper sold a white T-shirt with a large swastika on the chest after buying a local Los Angeles ad on the night of the Super Bowl. Shopify then shut down Ye’s website store, stating, “the merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms, so we removed them.” Ye then posted on Tuesday he had the idea for the shirt “for over eight years.”

In 2022, he threatened to go “death con 3 on Jewish people” and also withdrew his previous apology he made to the Jewish community in December 2023.

A former Yeezy employee of Jewish descent is currently suing the rapper for discrimination. Of many of the claims, she states Ye once texted her and another Jewish staffer in a group chat, “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler.”
