Rutgers interim AD: Football’s bowl bid ‘spoke to the culture’ under Greg Schiano

From his favorite viewing spot on the Rutgers sideline this season, interim athletic director Ryan Pisarri saw a football team that “scratched and clawed to the absolute end” after a series of injuries left it undermanned and treading at midseason.

In his first interview since becoming interim athletic director in August, Pisarri praised head coach Greg Schiano for holding the team together under difficult circumstances and promised to fully support his efforts to make the program competitive against the top Big Ten teams.
