Steven Spielberg is back in New Jersey filming scenes for his upcoming movie starring Emily Blunt.

The Oscar nominee (“Oppenheimer”) was on set with Spielberg Tuesday in Montville. Joining Blunt was her co-star Wyatt Russell.

The actors, who could be seen grasping each other’s hands and embracing, were filming a smoky scene at a gas station.

Spielberg’s film has the production code name “Non-View” and reportedly has the working title “The Dish.”

The film, reported to be a UFO-related movie, was scripted by “Jurassic Park” co-writer David Koepp.

Koepp, whose also wrote the recent New Jersey ghost moviePresence" and the upcoming film “Jurassic World: Rebirth,” has worked with Spielberg for more than 30 years.

“He wrote the story for this new thing that we’re about to start shooting,” Koepp told NJ Advance Media in January, referring to the movie starring Emily Blunt.

“He wrote the story and said ‘what do you think of this?’” Koepp said. “And I said ‘great. What if you did this, this and that?’ And, you know, then we went from there.”

Besides Blunt and Russell, the film stars Oscar nominee Colman Domingo (”Sing Sing”), Oscar winner Colin Firth (”The King’s Speech”), “Bad Sisters” star Eve Hewson and Emmy winner Josh O’Connor (”The Crown”).

And the movie isn’t just filming in Montville.

In January, the production from Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment put out an open call for local extras and background actors in Woodbine, Cape May County for scenes that will be filmed in March. A casting call for MRI technicians followed.

Universal Pictures is set to release the movie June 12, 2026, a slight change to the initial May 15, 2026 release date.

Spielberg, 78, has a history of filming in New Jersey, where he spent some of his youngest years as a child. As depicted in his 2022 movie “The Fabelmans,” the director saw his first movie in a Jersey theater.

Paterson served as the base of production for Spielberg’s take on “West Side Story” (2021, starring New Jersey’s Rachel Zegler) in 2019. And long before that, he filmed “War of the Worlds” (2005, also co-written by Koepp) in Bayonne and Newark.

Blunt, 42, also previously filmed the Oscar-winningOppenheimer” in Jersey.

She filmed at the site of J. Robert Oppenheimer’s work and home, Princeton, with director Christopher Nolan and star Cillian Murphy, who both won Academy Awards for the movie. Blunt was nominated for best supporting actress for playing Oppenheimer’s wife, botanist Kitty Oppenheimer.
