If you don’t have tickets to the Big East Tournament next month and are hoping to watch your favorite team, you might need to get on board with Peacock.

The streaming service has the rights to the first five games of the tournament at Madison Square Garden -- the triple-header on Wednesday, March 12 and the first doubleheader on Thursday, March 13.

If the tournament began today, No. 1 seed St. John’s, No. 4 UConn and No. 10 Seton Hall would all play their first game on Peacock.

After those first five games, all tournament games will air on FS1 and FOX.

The Big East announced the TV plans last September.

If the tournament began today: No. 10 Seton Hall would face No. 7 Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday; No. 1 St. John’s would face the winner between No. 8 Butler and No. 9 Providence at noon on Thursday; and No. 4 UConn would meet No. 5 Xavier -- which on Sunday beat The Hall 73-66 -- at 2:30 Thursday. All the games would be on Peacock.

Fans are generally not happy about it.

“I don’t like it,” one fan posted.

“Absolutely awful,” said another.

“Growing up I use to watch the Big East tournament, now I have to have an app that I don’t need.

Still, fans better get accustomed to it.

Peacock says it has 36 million subscribers and plans to continue to broadcast more and more Big East and Big Ten games going forward.
