Timothée Chalamet’s return to Hoboken last week had us wondering if he should be given an honorary city parking permit.
With how often he’s been in town, maybe he should just move in.
Chalamet was back in the Mile Square City once again Wednesday filming with Elle Fanning, his co-star in the Bob Dylan movie “A Complete Unknown.”

The “Dune” and “Wonka” star has been filming the movie with director James Mangold (”Ford v. Ferrari,” “Cop Land,” “Girl, Interrupted”) since March in many Jersey locations, including Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark, Cape May, Mountainside, Paterson and Passaic.
The Oscar nominee (”Call Me By Your Name”) plays a young Dylan in the film, which is set in the 1960s, during the singer’s rise to fame.

Chalamet, 28, a producer of the film alongside Mangold and Dylan himself, sings Dylan’s songs in the movie.
Emmy nominee Fanning (”The Great”), 26, plays a character named Sylvie Russo, inspired by artist Suze Rotolo, Dylan’s girlfriend after he moved from Minnesota to New York as a teen.

Rotolo appeared with Dylan on the cover of his 1963 album “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” and wrote the 2008 memoir “A Freewheelin’ Time.” She died of lung cancer in 2011, when she was 67.
Chalamet and Fanning were back on a motorcycle for the scenes being filmed in Hoboken Wednesday.

In May, they appeared on a motorcycle together while filming scenes in Cape May, where streets were transformed into the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.
It was at the Rhode Island event where Dylan went electric by playing an electric guitar for the first time in public, sending shockwaves through the folk community.

Dylan first performed his song “Like a Rolling Stone” at the same festival. The 1965 song is the source of the movie’s title. (“How does it feel? / To be on your own, with no direction home. / A complete unknown, like a rolling stone.”)
Fanning and Chalamet have also filmed together in Paterson and Passaic for scenes set in New York.
Last week, Chalamet was working on the movie in Hoboken with three-time Oscar nominee Edward Norton, who plays folk singer Pete Seeger in the movie.

Other stars of the Searchlight Pictures film include Monica Barbaro (”Top Gun: Maverick”), who plays folk singer and activist Joan Baez.
Dylan and Baez had both a romantic and musical relationship in the ’60s. Barbaro filmed with Chalamet in April at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside, singing and playing guitar alongside the actor.
This is the last month of Jersey filming for the Dylan movie, which also filmed in New York.
