In New Jersey dozens of different religious groups exist together, but some groups have more adherents than others, the latest data from 2020 shows.
Data from the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies, shows that Catholics were the largest religious group in New Jersey with 2,971,461 adherents making up about 32% of the population.

Muslims followed at 321,652 adherents or 3.46% of the states population. Non denominational Christians were the third largest religious group with 282,370 adherents and about 3.04% of the states population.
