Sling TV is a live TV streaming service that features a wide variety of channels and on-demand content for a low monthly price compared to the rest of the industry.

The service offers nearly 50 channels across multiple packages, thousands of on-demand titles, 50 hours of DVR storage, and the ability to stream through up to three devices simultaneously. It’s also one of the most customizable platforms out there.

If you’re looking for a cheap, easy way to watch live TV, it’s hard to go wrong with Sling TV.

Here is everything to know about the streaming service:

How much does Sling TV cost?

Sling TV costs either $35 or $50 per month, depending on which package you choose. A subscription can be canceled at any time.

While Sling TV’s range of channels doesn’t quite match Fubo, Hulu Live TV or DirecTV Stream, it is far cheaper than almost any other live TV streaming service. And the streaming services closer to Sling TV’s price range, like Philo, don’t offer as much customization among packages.

With Sling, you can choose to pay less to focus on certain types of content.

How does Sling TV work? What channels and packages does it offer?

Sling TV has a wide range of live channels, with a focus on different packages. Individually, Sling Orange or Sling Blue each cost $35, but if you combine the two, it costs $50 and you get more channels.

Sling Blue, for example, is the better entertainment package and has a heavier focus on news offerings. Some of the key channels include CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, TruTV, USA, E!, FS1, National Geographic, Syfy, and FX. Sling Blue offers viewing through up to three simultaneous devices.

Sling Orange, on the other hand, prioritizes certain family-friendly content and sports, particularly NCAA football. Among its biggest selling points are channels like ESPN, ESPN2, Disney Channel, Freeform and Nick Jr. With Sling Orange, you can only watch through one device at a time.

There’s also the option to combine them with Sling Orange & Blue, which is $15 more expensive but includes all channels from both packages.

CNN is part of all packages, making Sling one of the few places to watch a live stream of the massive news network.

The list of all 50 channels can be found here, and there are 10 additional add-on packages available, too.

Does Sling TV have movies?

Sling TV offers access to a significant library of on-demand content, though the selection and the length of its availability varies widely.

The primary focus is on programming that has recently aired on Sling’s TV channel offerings.

Does Sling TV offer a free trial?

Sling TV does not currently offer a free trial.

However, as of August, the company was running a promotion for 50% off the first month, so a subscription to Sling Orange & Blue is just $25 for the first month.

To sign up is as simple as entering a phone number, email address and your credit card.
