Hudson County had some of the highest rental costs in the state, data showsCanva for NJ.com

Rental costs went up across the state compared to the prior year, according to the latest Zillow figures.

Warren County, where rent sat at $2,057 in January, saw costs increase by over 10% compared to the same time last year.

Hudson County had the highest rental costs at $2,990, while Cumberland County had the lowest at $1,652.

A note about the data: Cape May County did not have enough data to calculate change in rental costs. Zillow calculates rental costs based on all homes.
