Seton Hall is now officially in the Big East basement -- and may once again have to play the last game next Wednesday at the Big East Tournament.

With DePaul’s 80-77 win at Providence Wednesday night, Seton Hall moved into 11th place in the 11-team Big East.

As things now stand, they would face No. 6 Villanova at 9 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the Big East at Madison Square Garden. The winner would meet No. 3 Marquette.

No. 10 DePaul would face No. 7 Georgetown at 6:30 on Wednesday, with the winner to meet No. 2 Creighton.

Seton Hall can move back into 10th place if they win at UConn on Saturday, but that seems like a big ask considering they have lost five straight.

The Hall did beat UConn at Prudential Center, 69-68 in overtime, on Feb. 15.
