The deadline to sign up to receive a cash payment as part of the ParkMobile class action settlement is here.
The final day to sign up is March 5, 2025.
As many as 21 million people could be eligible for the settlement, which stems from a data breach that happened in 2021.
ParkMobile, popular app used by many Jersey Shore beach towns that collect parking fees, agreed to the $32.8 million settlement to resolve claims “relating to an unknown actor’s unauthorized access to the Personal Information of ParkMobile App users,” the settlement website said.
ParkMobile told NJ Advance Media it agreed to the settlement so it could “focus on the ongoing protection of our customers' information and to continue enhancing our services.”
“We prioritize the protection of our customers and their data, continuously enhancing our security posture and monitoring based on industry best practices,” it said.
The settlement website said people who received a notification from ParkMobile about the incident are included as settlement class members.

But you have to submit a claim form at ParkMobileSettlement.com to get a cash payment. The top payout is capped at $25, the website said.
If you don’t sign up to get the cash payment, you’ll receive a code from ParkMobile for a $1 credit to use on the app. The credit will be valid for one year.
